Summary
The Fire Department wants two gear dryers — costing $20,780 — through three grants (CSX, Gary Sinise Foundation, Central Hudson). Right now turnout gear hangs in the firehouse and can take a week to dry; dryers cut that to about four hours, protecting firefighter health.
